The display backlight has 5 intensity levels, so you can easily set the brightness so it doesn’t disturb you at night. Power is possible in two ways: when using a USB-C cable, the alarm clock lights in continuous mode; when powered by batteries, it switches to a mode that keeps the settings but does not display the time (after reconnecting to power, the saved settings will be displayed).
