Switch off both vehicles before connecting. Connect the red cable first to the positive terminal of the flat battery and then to the positive terminal of the working battery. Connect the black cable to the negative terminal of the working battery and the other end to an unpainted metal part of the vehicle with the flat battery. After starting the vehicle, disconnect the cables in reverse order.
