The SJCAM C300 is a compact action camera designed for situations where a phone is impractical, such as cycling, motorcycling, skiing and water activities. It offers recording in 4K (3840 × 2160) at 30 fps and, thanks to its f/2.0 aperture, handles more demanding lighting conditions. The wide 154° field of view with distortion correction helps capture landscapes and fast action without an unpleasant fisheye effect.
For smooth video while riding or recording handheld, the camera is equipped with 6-axis gyroscopic stabilisation and also offers 8× digital zoom. Fans of dynamic footage will appreciate the slow-motion modes: 2× (2K/60 fps), 4× (1080p/120 fps) or 8× (720p/120 fps). A wide range of modes is available, including time-lapse, loop recording, pre-recording, motion detection and driving mode.
Operation is made easier by two 1.3" touchscreens and Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) for use with the app. The camera supports live streaming to YouTube and can also be used as a webcam. Recordings are stored on a microSD card up to 128 GB and the camera charges via USB-C. For underwater use, it offers water resistance down to 30 m when placed in the case, and it also includes an underwater white balance mode.
