The SUNSUN CUV-755 UV-C lamp operates in a flow-through mode – water passes through a chamber where it is exposed to UV-C radiation. This helps limit floating algae, which are a typical cause of cloudiness and green discoloration of the water. Under the effect of the radiation, the algae clump into larger units, making them easier to capture with mechanical filtration afterward.
The lamp’s design is intended for higher efficiency and easier maintenance. The manufacturer did not use an internal spiral coil, which makes cleaning easier and reduces dirt buildup. The stainless-steel cover additionally reflects UV-C light, allowing the radiation to act on the water more effectively.
Safe water treatment without chemicals takes place only inside the unit, making it suitable for ponds with fish and plants. The best results are achieved when used in combination with a suitable biological and mechanical filter.
