The SUNSUN CUV-209 UV-C lamp uses ultraviolet radiation that acts on algae and undesirable microorganisms in the water circuit. After disrupting the cell structure, the algae clump into larger particles, which can then be more easily captured by mechanical filtration. With regular operation, the first visible results may be noticeable after approximately 14 days.
Cleaning takes place without chemical agents, making it suitable for ponds with fish and aquatic plants. UV-C radiation acts only inside the device during water flow and does not disrupt the normal function of biological filtration, because beneficial bacteria settle primarily on filter media and surfaces in the pond.
The design inside the lamp body directs the water flow to ensure longer contact with the UV-C emitter and higher efficiency. Thanks to the symmetrical design, the ports can be used as both inlet and outlet, making installation in various setups easier. A durable plastic housing made of ABS and ASA, a 5 m power cable, and the option of wall mounting increase convenience when integrating into an existing filtration system.
