The updated Spyderco Matriarch 2 Black version is designed for tactical and professional use. The knife uses the Emerson Wave quick-opening system (a hook on the spine of the blade that catches on the pocket edge when drawn, opening the knife instantly). Alternatively, you can also open it the classic way using the thumb hole in the blade.
The S-shaped blade with a Hawkbill serrated edge is made of Japanese stainless steel VG-10 and has a black titanium carbonitride coating. Reliable Backlock lock ensures safe locking during use.
