The Sawyer Mini filter is a compact solution for obtaining drinking water in the field. Thanks to a hollow-fiber membrane with a maximum pore size of 0.1 micron, it can stop 99.99% of bacteria and protozoa (e.g., Salmonella, cholera, E. Coli, Cryptosporidium, Giardia). The advantage is filtration without chemical agents, so it does not change the taste of the water.
Use is simple: collect water into a bottle or pouch from a lake, stream, or river, screw on the filter, and by squeezing the bottle filter the water into your own bottle or another container. The filter also allows you to drink directly from the filter, it can be attached to most PET bottles with a threaded neck, and it can also be connected to a hydration bladder for convenient drinking.
