The small Cold Steel Kyoto I knife combines compact dimensions, low weight, and inspiration from traditional Japanese swords. The tanto-style fixed blade with a plain edge is suitable for everyday carry, regular cutting tasks, and use as a practical backup knife.
The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a satin finish. The full-tang construction, in which the steel runs through the entire length of the handle, contributes to the knife's high strength and stability.
The handle made of durable Kray-Ex material features a texture that imitates traditional Japanese tsukamaki wrapping for a more secure grip. A Secure-Ex protective sheath is included.
