The sound mechanism works purely mechanically – the faster the child pushes the mower, the more noticeable the response while moving.

When pushing, the wheel motion is transferred to an internal mechanism that produces a mechanical sound and at the same time sets polystyrene balls in the grass catcher in motion – they imitate cut grass. This gives the play immediate mechanical feedback without electronics.
The child can “start” it using the starter imitation and then guide the mower in straight strips similarly to adults. For safe use, we recommend choosing a flat route without stairs and sharp obstacles.
